Civil ceremony

The civil ceremony needs more attention: the risk is that it might be a little cold and unemotional.

Unlike the religious ceremony, which normally takes place in Church, an ambience already filled with history and emotionality, the civil ceremony is held most often in the Muncipal House and risks being a little impersonal. For this reason, it is important that a musical accompainment gives it the right emotional amount. In this case, too, the strings can make all the difference.

A violin and cello duet or, better yet, a string trio or quarter will accompany every moment with delicateness and elegance. As regards the repertoire, the civil ceremony does not impose limits: it can range from a classical and traditional repertoire to a modern one. With a string quartet, it is possible to perform almost everything, logically after doing, if necessary, specific arrangements.

The moments of the civil wedding in which a musical interlude is expected are not many: the arrival of the spouses, the appending of signatures, the exit.

This is why our musicians anticipate to welcome the guests at least a quarter of an hour before the beginning of the ceremony and entertain themselves afterwards just for the ritual photos and the greetings. Also the clothing, especially in summer, may be a little less formal, whilst remaining elegant.
